Katya Virshilas
Dancer
Lithuanian dancer known for her appearances on seasons seven, eight, and nine of the show Strictly Come Dancing. She also helped choreograph parts of seasons one and two of So You Think You Can Dance.
She moved from Lithuania to Israel to Vancouver growing up, ultimately settling in the Canadian city. She was a successful dancer in her youth, winning four Vancouver British Columbia Dancesport Championships from 1998 to 2002.
She's also made various appearances onscreen, including the movies Shall We Dance? and John Tucker Must Die.
She married dancer Klaus Kongsdal in 2012. The couple welcomed their first child in 2016.
One of her partners on Strictly Come Dancing was professional cricket player Phil Tufnell.
