She was born into a musical family in the village of Tessenderlo and studied jewellery design in art school.
Her single "We All Belong" was chosen as the official song of the LGBT-focused EuroGames sporting event in 2007.
Her birth name is Katrien Verbeeck. Her aunt is a music teacher who taught her to play piano.
Her 2003 single "Libertine" is a cover of the 1986 Mylene Farmer song of the same name.
