Star striker who became a member of the French national team in 2007 and joined Real Madrid in 2009. He was named the French Player of the Year in 2011, 2012, and 2014.
He began his youth career with Lyon in 1996. He played with the club's senior team from 2004-2009.
He was Ligue 1's top goalscorer in 2007-08 and led Lyon to four Ligue 1 titles. He helped Real Madrid capture a La Liga title in 2012.
His two younger brothers also became professional soccer players.
He became teammates with Iker Casillas on Real Madrid in 2009.
