Indian actress best recognized for her roles in Hindi films. She is best known for her appearances in the feature films Omkara in 2006, We Are Family in 2010, and Dev in 2004.
She attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and later Mithibai College. Her acting career then began in 2000 when she was cast at the female lead in Rakesh Roshan Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. She then went on to earn further recognition when she starred in the war drama Refugee.
She is known for having won multiple Filmfare Awards including for her appearances in Refugee, Chameli, and Dev.
She is the daughter of famed Indian actor Randhir Kapoor.
She starred opposite Tusshar Kapoor in the hit feature film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai in 2001.
