Best known as the founder of a mobile device and web-based application and company called Asana, this software developer also held technical engineering positions with Google and Facebook.
After earning a degree in mathematics from Stanford University, he terminated his graduate studies in computer science (also at Stanford) to work for Google.
He spearheaded the controversial Facebook Beacon advertising program, which spurred a class-action lawsuit in 2009.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, he graduated from Oakland, California's College Preparatory School.
He established Asana in collaboration with Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz.
