Classical musician, composer, philosopher, mathematician, and boheme known for his Essay on the Origin of Thought from 1974.
He was a student at The Royal Danish Academy of Music and later graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a Master's degree in Philosophy.
He was featured in En aften i november, a documentary.
His mother was a Russian aristocrat and his father a Danish civil engineer.
He and his close friend, Danish author Karen Blixen, once met Igor Stravinsky while he was at the Copenhagen City Hall.
