Professional pitch that was signed by the Atlanta Braves as an international free agent in 2001. He signed with the Los Angeles Angels via a minor league contract in January 2021.
When he initially signed his professional contract with the Braves, he was listed as a catcher. However, just a few years later he was released by the Braves and signed by the New York Mets as a pitcher before leaving to play baseball in Spain.
He made his major league debut pitching against the Tampa Bay Rays on June 12, 2015 as a member of the Chicago White Sox.
He is a native of San Felix, Venezuela. He lives with his wife, Erika, and their two children.
He played alongside Felix Hernandez and Miguel Cabrera as a member of the Venezuelan national ream that won a bronze medal during the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
