Mathematician who, most notably, worked on the Hilbert Tenth's problem. She proved that the fictitious play dynamics converges to the mixed strategy Nash equilibrium in two-player zero-sum games in a 1951 paper on game theory.
She attended UC Berkeley where she earned her Ph.D in 1948.
She was featured in Notices of the American Mathematical Society in 2008.
She married Raphael Robinson, who was a professor at Berkeley, in 1941.
She was influenced by Stephen Hawking.
