Gold Glove Award-winning outfielder who debuted with the Boston Red Sox in 2009. He won a World Series title as a member of the Houston Astros in 2017.
Called up by the Red Sox in July 2009 to fill in for the injured Adam LaRoche, he recorded his first hit in his second MLB game.
He hit 32 home runs in 2012, his first season with the Oakland Athletics.
He was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. He and his wife Jett welcomed twin sons Maverick and Ryder in October 2019.
He was teammates with David Ortiz during his time on the Red Sox.
