He became one of two Kansas State University quarterbacks in history to throw for 60 career touchdowns or more.
He had a breakout 2010 season, earning a team record 95.9 quarterback rating, while leading the team to four come from behind victories.
He is the son of NFL linebacker Ron Freeman, and has a brother named Caleb.
He was mentored by Buccaneers veteran Ronde Barber upon entering the NFL in 2009.
