Joseph P. Bradley

Served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1870 to 1892.
He graduated from Rutgers University in 1836.
He was part of the Electoral Commission that was created to resolve the disputed 1876 presidential election between Rutherford B. Hayes and Samuel J. Tilden.
He married Mary Hornblower in 1844.
He was nominated to the Supreme Court by President Ulysses S. Grant.
