She posted her first YouTube video, "Welcome To My New Beauty Channel!!", in October 2012. She began posting only makeup tutorials, before moving onto general fashion, wig reviews, and unboxing content. Her first IG post was in June 2014.
She has another YouTube channel, called PrettyJayyTV. She has also worked with lifestyle YouTube channel StyleHaul.
She has two brothers, whom she's posted pictures of on her Instagram. In 2003, she moved to California to pursue her singing career.
