Jordin Tootoo

NHL right winger who became the first Inuit player in the league. He spent eight seasons with the Nashville Predators before signing with the Detroit Red Wings in 2012.
He was selected 98th overall in the 2001 NHL Draft and made his debut during the 2003-04 season for the Predators.
He began wearing number 22 as a play on his last name.
He married Jennifer Salvaggio in 2014, and they have daughters named Siena and Avery. They're currently expecting their third child together. His mother is of Ukrainian descent, and his father an Inuit Native from Canada.
He joined All-Star center Pavel Datsyuk on the Red Wings in 2012.
