Former professional Australian rules football player who played for Hawthorn Football Club, Geelong Football Club and Essendon Football Club.
In 2006, he was drafted by the Sydney Swans.
He signed with the Essendon Football Club in 2016 as a top-up player.
His younger brother, Tom Simpkin, played football for the team St Kilda.
Simpkin, Jordan Jones, Dustin Martin and Jordan Lewis are all their for playing Australian rules football.
