Jon Weber
Pianist
Critically acclaimed self-taught jazz artist who worked the New York and Chicago scenes. He hosted Piano Jazz with Jon Weber on NPR.
He learned counterpoint on his own and was able to secure gigs arranging for local ensembles such as the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
His talents were used internationally, leading him to perform and record with artists from Australia, Europe, India, Japan, and the United States.
His family noticed his ability to plunk out children's tunes on a toy organ when he was only three.
He succeeded Marian McPartland as host of Piano Jazz, also on NPR.
