NFL running back best known for his time with the Detroit Lions. He won the Harlon Hill Trophy for Division II player of the year while attending Wayne State.
He was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan and attended Benton Harbor High School.
In 2013, he and Lions teammates Reggie Bush became the first running back tandem in NFL history to each gain more than 500 yards rushing as well as receiving in a single season.
His son Jordan was born in 2005.
He became teammates with All-Pro Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson in 2011.
