He was a choir boy for the Lutheran Church in Newport News, Virginia and later toured as a singer with Shelly Harmon and His Orchestra.
He has been an announcer for many shows including the Emmy Awards and the People's Choice Awards.
He has children with his wife Sharee.
Phil Donahue replaced him as host of the game show Fast Draw.
