John Mitchum

Best known as the brother of their screen actors Robert Mitchum and Julie Mitchum, he also had an acting career in his own right, appearing in episodes of Riverboat and The Rebel and playing the role of Frank DiGiorgio in the Dirty Harry movies.
His early film credits include small roles in The Lusty Men, El Dorado, and other Western movies in which his brother starred.
He played Trooper Hoffenmueller in more than ten episodes of the ABC series F Troop.
He was married four times, and he fathered one child. He was married to Nancy Munro from 1952 until 1976 and to Bonnie Mitchum until his death in 2001.
He appeared with David Janssen in several 1958 episodes of the CBS series Richard Diamond, Private Detective.
