John Marsden

An Australian teacher and author of young adult fiction, he is especially known for The Tomorrow series and The Ellie Chronicles. During his lifetime, he sold over five million copies of his books.
He studied Law and Arts at Sydney University. Shortly after graduating, he was hospitalized for depression.
He was nominated for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2008.
He was born in Melbourne, Australia; at the age of ten, he moved to Sydney. As an adult, he had a long-term relationship with partner Aimee Marsden.
He was nominated for the Lindgren Memorial Award in 2008; Maurice Sendak received this honor in 2003.
