Famous for writing and performing in the radio comedy shows John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme and Cabin Pressure, Finnemore received numerous Comedy.co.uk Awards, as well as a 2011 Writers' Guild of Great Britain honor and a 2014 Radio Academy Award for his work.
Before beginning his career as a writer and performer, he studied at Peterhouse College, Cambridge.
He contributed to numerous BBC radio comedy programs, including the Mitchell and Webb Sound, Safety Catch, and Dead Ringers.
The children of Patricia and David Finnemore, John Finnemore and his sister, Anna, grew up in Berkshire and Dorset, England.
He wrote the pilot for a British television series titled George and Bernard Shaw that, had it been picked up by the BBC One network, would have starred Richard Griffiths and Robert Lindsay.
