Perhaps most well known for his portrayal of Lurch on the ABC Family series The New Addams Family, he is also notable for his recurring roles on Blade: The Series (as Thorne) and Falling Skies (as Shaq).
Before launching his entertainment career, he briefly served in the Canadian Army. He made his television debut in a 1998 episode of Police Academy: The Series.
One of the tallest Canadian screen actors on record, he is six feet and nine inches tall.
He spent his youth in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.
He appeared with Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore in the 2014 action movie Seventh Son.
