Known for co-writing the 2007 hit Fluorescent Adolescent for the Arctic Monkeys with lead singer Alex Turner.
She obtained her degree in Psychology from Goldsmiths College at the University of London.
She was frontwoman for Totalizer who worked with guitarist Anthony Rossomando of Dirty Pretty Things on their demos.
She married Kings of Leon lead guitarist Matthew Followill in 2009. They had one son, Knox.
She and comedian Neil Innes both studied at Goldsmith College.
