Musician who played drums with the hard rock band Aerosmith and who wrote songs like "Can't Stop Lovin' You."
He was credited with writing such Aerosmith songs as "Pandora's Box," "Kings and Queens," and "The Hand That Feeds."
He and Aerosmith became the first band to guest-star on The Simpsons appearing in a third-season episode; he would appear again in the show's twenty-second season.
He married his second wife Linda Kramer in 2009 after being married to April Kramer from 1979 to 2007.
He came up with the name Aerosmith while listening to Harry Nilsson's 1968 album, Aerial Ballet.
