Lead guitarist for the rock group Collective Soul who released the solo album Fight Years in 2010.
After teaching himself how to play guitar at the age of thirteen, he was working as the guitar tech for Collective Soul when they promoted him to a member of the band.
He sang the lead vocals on Collective Soul's song “I Don’t Need Anymore Friends” off their 2007 album Afterwords.
He grew up around Stockbridge, Georgia.
Phil Ehart and Kansas are among his musical influences.
