Joe Roberts

Remembered for his roles in numerous Buster Keaton silent shorts, Roberts also appeared in the 1922 movie The Primitive Lover and in the 1924 comedy film The Misfit. His best known Keaton films include The Love Nest, The Frozen North, and The Goat.
He first met Buster Keaton while attending a vaudeville summer program run by Keaton's father, Joe Keaton.
He suffered a stroke while on the set of the 1923 film Our Hospitality. He pushed through the rest of filming, but died of a second stroke shortly after production had wrapped.
He and his wife Lillian Stuart Roberts created and performed a touring vaudeville act called Roberts, Hays, and Roberts.
He and Edward Cline were both in the cast of the 1921 short The Haunted House.
