Famous for his role as Tim Metcalfe on the popular British soap opera Coronation Street, he is also known for his recurring role as Steve Turner on Pie in the Sky, as well as for his portrayal of D.C. Tony Finn on Serious & Organized.
He made his screen debut in a 1992 episode of Between the Lines.
His big screen credits include Paul in The Navigators (2001) and Eric in My Night with Reg (1997).
His uncle John Duttine also had a television acting career.
He and fellow British TV actor John Simm trained together at the Drama Centre London and went on to share the screen in episodes of the television shows The Village and Life on Mars.
