Two-time All-Star guard who played for 12 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Boston Celtics.
He starred for the University of Dayton and became an All-American guard during his senior year.
He was the all-time leading scorer for the Portland Trail Blazers when he was traded to the Boston Celtics.
His brother John was a guard for the Chicago Bulls. He married real estate agent Courtney Lipson-Paxson.
At the end of his NBA career, he played with Hall of Fame forward Larry Bird on the Celtics.
