Professional wrestler during the Great Depression who was known as The Golden Greek. He had finishing moves known as the armbar and Boston crab.
He emigrated to the United States at the age of 13 after running away from home and worked several odd jobs before getting into wrestling.
He was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in 2002.
He was born in Argo, Greece.
His nickname contained his country of Greece in it just like NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, known as the Greek Freak.
