It was in 2004, after a dangerous crash diet, the divorce from her first husband, and a miscarriage that she turned from body negativity and began cultivating her career in blogging and fashion.
In 2012, she became the co-owner and executive director of Portland Fashion Week.
She and her husband have one son.
At the 2016 Curvy Fashionista Style Brunch, she was a panelist alongside Chante Burkett and Ty Alexander.
