She attended McGill University and Harvard University's American Repertory Theater.
She portrayed the role of Terri Schuester on the Fox TV series Glee.
She had one child with Bobby Salomon whom she married on January 1, 2005. The couple later divorced.
She appeared in the film The Stepfather with Penn Badgley.
