Former skateboarder who became one of the first professional skaters for both World Industries and Birdhouse Skateboards. He founded Hook-Ups Skateboards, which is their for its Japanese-inspired aesthetic.
He was inspired to start skating after seeing the Bones Brigade Video Show. He began gaining notice in the skateboarding world in the early 90s.
He is an artist who founded the brand JK Industries, which sells hand-painted skateboards and accessories.
His mother was supportive of his skating career.
He has been close friends with Birdhouse founder Tony Hawk.
