Welsh fashion, home furnishings, and jewelry designer who established the Warehouse clothing chain in the 1970s.
He studied fashion design at the Parsons School of Design in New York and interior design at Saint Martin's School of Art in London.
He hosted the BBC One series, The Clothes Show, during the 1980s and 1990s.
He and pop singer Sandie Shaw had one daughter during their marriage. He later married model and makeup artist Sue Mann.
He publicly criticized fellow UK fashion designer Stella McCartney, saying that she rose to prominence in the fashion world because she was the daughter of Paul McCartney.
