She made her small screen debut in 2011 guest starring in an episode of the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation.
Her first feature film credit was in 2013 when she earned a small role in the film Baggage Claim.
She has gained attention for her relationship with former Psyche star Dule Hill. They became engaged on April 14, 2017 and married in early 2018. In May 2019, they welcomed a son named Levi together.
In Ballers, her onscreen husband, Charles Greane, is played by Omar Benson Miller.
