Javed Hashmi

After serving as both Federal Minister of Youth Affairs and Federal Minister of Health, this Pakistani politician headed the Pakistan Movement for Justice and the Pakistan Muslim League.
He earned a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a doctorate (all in political science) from Punjab University.
In late 2003, he was arrested for publicly reading a letter that accused the Pakistani military of corruption. He remained in jail for nearly four years, despite the fact that numerous opposition party politicians believed that his arrest and imprisonment were unjust.
Born Makhdoom Muhammad Javed Hashmi, he grew up in Lahore, Pakistan.
From 2012 until 2014, he served as president of Imran Khan 's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party.
