NHL center who was drafted 2nd overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2001 and became the team's captain in 2013.
He joined the Ontario Hockey League at the age of 15, scoring an impressive 116 points in 66 games with the Windsor Spitfires.
His breakout season with the Senators came in 2005-06, when he scored 90 points, including a team-record 71 assists.
He was born in Mississauga, Ontario. In 2009, he married Jennifer Snell and he has two daughters named Nicola and Sophia.
He became captain of the Senators after Daniel Alfredsson left the team in 2013.
