He was cast in the title role of the traveling musical The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4.
In addition to game show hosting, he had his own longrunning after-school children's program, The Son of a Gunn Show.
He had four children with his wife Janine Morrell-Gunn.
