Music industry executive who founded Lava Records and has served, at various times, as the Chairman and CEO of Virgin Records, Atlantic Records, and the Capitol Music Group. He is also a noted philanthropist, having co-founded The Innocence Project.
He grew up playing guitar in several bands in New York. His career in the music industry began as a field merchandiser at Atlantic Records.
He received the first Music Visionary of the Year award ever handed out by the UJA Federation.
He is the son of famed lawyer Joseph Flom.
