Janet Huntington Brewster

The wife of broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow, she became a broadcaster, herself, as well as a prominent philanthropist. She raised funds for Mount Holyoke College's art museum and also served on the board of National Public Radio.
She worked as a broadcaster for CBS during the Battle of Britain in World War II.
She met her future husband at Mount Holyoke College, where she was a student leader. At the time, he was the president of the National Student Federation of America.
She had one son, Charles Casey Murrow, with her husband, Edward.
She and her husband both covered the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
