James Murphy
Music Producer
Singer-songwriter and producer best known for his electronic/dance project LCD Soundsystem. He released the self-titled album LCD Soundsystem in 2005 and two more albums, Sound of Silver in 2007 and This is Happening in 2010, before beginning to focus solely on producing other artists.
His early musical endeavors included playing with the band Falling Man from 1988 to 1989 and working as a sound engineer for the band Six Finger Satellite.
The documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits was released in 2012, featuring his last show with LCD Soundsystem at Madison Square Garden.
He opened a wine bar with his wife Christina Topsoe in 2015.
He worked with singer Win Butler and Arcade Fire on the band's fourth album Reflektor, which was released in 2013.
