Jakob Danger Armstrong is the second son born to Adrienne Nesser and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. He followed in his father's footsteps and became the frontman and guitarist of his band Jakob Danger, which he later renamed as Mt. Eddy.
His parents met at a 1990 Green Day concert in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and married four years later.
His band was signed to the Oakland-based label Uncool. They released the debut EP on Burger Records in 2015.
His older brother, Joseph Marciano Armstrong, was born in February of 1995.
In 1986, his father formed Green Day along with bassist Mike Dirnt.
