Known for her role as Dee Real in The WB drama Just Legal and for her portrayal of Sonia Jimenez in the NBC medical series Mercy, she is also notable for her performance as Olivia Watson in the Fox series The Mob Doctor. In 2015, she began playing the series regular role of Diana on the ABC soap opera Members Only.
After training at New York University's their Tisch School of the Arts, she made her Broadway debut as Mimi Marquez in the rock musical Rent.
In 2002, she was featured in Beyonce Knowles' "Work It Out" music video.
She spent her earliest days in Germany but grew up primarily in Clarksville, Tennessee, U.S.A. Her marriage to Benjamin Emanuel Kaplan began in 2012.
She appeared with Callie Thorne in several episodes of the USA Network series Necessary Roughness.
