Jacqui Smith
Politician
Politician who gained fame for her time as a Labour Member of Parliament (MP) from Redditch between 1997 and 2010. She was also the first-ever woman to serve as Home Secretary during her time between 2007 to 2009.
She graduated with her PPE degree from the University of Oxford. She worked as a schoolteacher and educational administrator before turning to politics.
She starred on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020. She served as Minister of State for Industry and the Regions between 2003 and 2005.
She and her ex-husband Richard share two sons.
She was partnered with Anton du Beke during the 2020 season of Strictly Come Dancing.
