Major League All-star and silver slugger who signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as a catcher during the 2021 offseason. His five-year, $115.5 million contract with the Phillies is the most lucrative contract ever signed by a catcher in MLB history.
He attended Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Oklahoma, where he was a three-sport athlete. He played as shortstop for his baseball team, quarterback for his football team and power forward for his basketball team.
He made back-to-back all-star game appearances during the 2018 and 2019 Major League Baseball seasons.
He and his wife Alexis got married in 2016. Just a few years later, they had their daughter Gracie Laine in July 2018 and their other daughter, Willa Mae, in July 2019.
He and Bryce Harper were teammates on the Phillies during the 2020 Major League Baseball season.
