Ivan Rein
Painter
Croatian painter who created nearly 2,000 pieces while living and working in Paris before World War II.
He moved to Paris after graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb in 1929.
He was killed by Fascist Croatian revolutionaries shortly after the liberation of the concentration camp in which he was a prisoner.
His parents died in concentration camps during the Holocaust. Sadly, his sister was the only member of his family who survived the World War II years.
He and his family members lost their lives as a result of Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime.
