Irving Bacheller

An American writer and journalist, he is best known for his novel Eben Holden. He also founded the first modern newspaper syndicate in the United States.
Early in his career, he wrote for both the Daily Hotel Reporter and The Brooklyn Times.
He was a war correspondent in France during World War I.
He married Stella Hitshew in March of 1923.
He had a working relationship with Stephen Crane.
