Canadian businessman remembered as one of the co-founders of the popular ice cream store chain Baskin Robbins. Under his ownership, Baskin Robbins became the largest such chain in the world.
He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He and business partner Burt Baskin decided the order of their names for Baskin Robbins via coin toss.
He was married to Irma Gevurtz, sister of Burt Baskin.
One of his sons is acclaimed author and activist John Robbins.
