She graduated from LaGuardia Arts High School as part of the Manhattan School of Music's Pre-college Division before heading west to major in voice performance at UCLA.
She has performed in stage productions of Les Miserables, Annie, The Wizard of Oz and more.
She grew up in Crown Heights, New York. Her younger sister followed in her footsteps to LaGuardia Arts High School while also studying at Juilliard.
She elected Christina Aguilera to be her coach on The Voice.
