Best known for founding the Rainbow S.r.l. Italian animation studio and creating the production company's most their animated series, Winx Club, this prominent animator and entrepreneur also created and/or produced such programs as Monster Allergy, Huntik, and Prezzy.
He began his career by working on the Nick Raider comics for the Sergio Bonelli Editore comic book company.
His Rainbow S.r.l. production company, founded in Loreto, Italy, later opened branches in Singapore and Rome.
He grew up in the eastern Italian region of Marche.
Italian voice actress Letizia Ciampa provided the voice of Bloom in Straffi's popular Winx Club series.
