He began his career with multiple guest appearance spots on television including roles in The Reporter, The Nurses, and Honey West.
His first starring role on television came in 1976 when he appeared in the title role of Big John Martin in the short-lived series, Big John Little John.
He was married to Louise Sorel, a soap opera actress, from 1964-1970.
One of his early guest spots on TV came on the hit sitcom Bewitched which starred Elizabeth Montgomery.
