Henri Becquerel

French physicist who shared the 1903 Nobel Prize In Physics for helping to discover radioactivity. The SI unit for radioactivity, the becquerel (Bq) is named in his honor.
He studied at the Ecole Polytechnique school in France.
He won the prestigious Rumford Medal and Helmoltz Medal.
He married Louise Desiree Loriex in 1890.
He was awarded the Nobel Prize with Madam Curie .
